From Fired to Hired…Again – One Woman’s Story

Last week in the Lifework Café I interviewed marketing consultant, Laurie Marrelli, about her all too familiar journey through the bewildering territory of a chronic illness diagnosis, the loss of business revenue, and the turn-around event that changed her life for the better. Laurie’s attitude played a large part in the positive turn in events. Laurie was candid about what happens to one’s business, one’s finances and sense of security when a chronic illness comes to visit. In her case, it is fibromyalgia. As you’ll hear, it started with a virus, was thought to be Rheumatoid Arthritis, and after several more months was correctly diagnosed and effectively treated. As her ability to work diminished, so did her business.
